Monday SMS blues
Hotlink came up with a new prepaid plan....
every monday, starting from 12 midnight ..(correct me if i'm wrong)....
we can purchase sms bundle consists of 1000 sms for RM 1.
the catch is : the sms bundle will only be valid until 11.59pm the very same day
sounds interesting?...
what are the chances of a person sending a complete 1000 sms per day?...
lovers?..the normal couple would normally give and receive brief sms asking "how r you today?"..."good morning honey" etc... or if they tend to get mushy....how mushy can they get through 1000 short messages...or if it comes with naughty intentions....the foreplay would turn into orgasm after a few corny sentences....perhaps...with some value added afterplay even....sms quarrel?...yeah...a bit of word bombings and then time for reconcilation...all these in the form of sms?...nahh....still won't sum up to 1000....i think not...
so what are the outcome from the sms bundle craze?..i give you a few examples ...
since the day it was launched....
i received tonnes of sms....non-stop from 12 midnight onwards...
the content?....5% is of important matters.....10% silly questions out of nowhere....85% sms forwards containing stuffs like :
type 1:
"this week is MUPH week!(make ugly people happy). send this to all your ugly friends. I did my part by sending u this sms!..."
(okay....i get this the most....yes i know i'm born imperfect somehow...but i don't need a thousand sms to be aware of it...)
type 2:
"Thissmswassenttomakeublurandmakeyoureaduntilujulinganddizzyseeyourfacelookssofunny
whenyoutrytoreadyoulookreallysillysendthistoanyoneyoufelllikedisturbing"
(pun intended annoyance , those who created this really have the power to pause the global timing ya)
type3:
"a person like u is a gift, that paints a smile in my heart, it gives memories that will stay in me, not for a while, but for a lifetime.
(awww....how sweet...but are you sure you mean it?...or you're just trying to make ur sms bundle subscription worth a ringgit?)
to be honest...i tried this last week....but i don't think it's worth the value (since i'm not so fond of sms-ing people for no appropiate reason) ....sure rm1 is not much.....but if you do some calculations...say if we consider a standard rate of 10 cents per sms, to make sure the value of rm1 is all used up....we need to send out 10 sms per day...which is a normal count daily if all u do is reply sms from others(of course this applies to me)...so if all it takes is 10 sms before the midnight bell rings ...what happens with the remaining 990?..i have to do the typical sms whoring but i'm very positive that i would not be able to send out all 990...
i don't intend to include a research of time-consumed to do this sms shopping and spending frenzy ...i guess i'll just stick to free blogging bundle and wouldn't mind comments telling me i'm ugly....:D
