I have a peculiar pattern of incidents when it comes to paying something at the cashiercounter...where i don't seem to have small change ready ...and everytime i get tangled in this kind of situation....i always get the bad gestures from the cashier...
Even when i politely say "mintak maaf makcik/pakcik/dik/bang...saya takda duit pecah"...
i usually get the reply of "

TSK!"

or an inverted smily face ...

or even worse....i got a sarcastic remark once which goes like this

"....Haiiiihhhhh....nak beli air mineral sebotol punnnnn...nak pakai duit rm50...." with a very makcikly intonation

goshh...it's not like i'm paying you with credit card...

so from the same pattern throughout my observation..I always get myself prepared with small change whenever i want to go to these places...

1. Some R&R restaurants - Almaklumla...jauh from the bank..almost impossible to prepare small change to customers....let them prepare for us lahh..

2. Some busy foodcourts such as Hartamas Square - Hello...tak nampak orang ramai ni....tak kuasa kay nak layan ko nyer duit baki nih!

3.Public Transport ticket counters - Go to the automated machines laa...go get some coins...shhh shhh..can't u see i'm busy

4. Kedai Photostat - banyak ko punya cantik..photostat sekeping..nak bayar pakai RM50 ..ko igt bapak ko punya kedai ka...peeeeegggiii daaahhh...*gaya p ramlee

5. Autopay Parking Ticket Machines - u turn around ...trying to catch the eye of the person behind you...hoping to get some sympathy..that they would spare some change...they turn their face and look behind...ermm....understand..understand...they need the change themselves..

What to do..u can't expect people to have courtesy to spare some small change for you...let alone replying in a nice manner asking you to change the money elsewhere....so....sediakan payung sebelum hujan....

But...on the other hand...
there are safe places to go without small change.

1.McDonalds or any Food-Chained restaurants....
2.Petrol stations...
3.Tollgates
4.High classed restaurants

Maybe they hold a different concept...big money means money...
